Scott Whalen
General Counsel, Chief Administrative and Sustainability Officer, and Corporate Secretary
Scott Whalen is General Counsel, Chief Administrative and Sustainability Officer, and Corporate Secretary at Divcon, an independent mission-critical controls provider to the world's biggest data center operators. A business-oriented general counsel with more than a decade of senior leadership experience at high-growth companies, Scott joined Divcon in January 2026 and, beyond legal and compliance, oversees much of the company's administrative and operational functions — partnering closely with the CEO and Board on strategy, governance, and execution.
Before Divcon, Scott was General Counsel at Lessen, a technology unicorn, where he led legal, human resources, risk management, compliance, and implementation through the company's integration following its $950M acquisition of SMS Assist. He previously served as Vice President of Legal at SMS Assist and began his career as a litigation attorney at BatesCarey LLP.
Scott earned a B.A. in Political Science and History from the University of Notre Dame, where he was a Glynn Scholar, and a J.D. with a Law and Business Certificate from Vanderbilt University Law School. He is licensed to practice law in Illinois.
